VERSAILLES, Mo. - The Blair Oaks Falcons will have four wrestlers in the Class 1 District 2 semifinals after quarterfinal victories Friday.
Frankie Falotico at 132 pounds, Alex Gaydos at 138, Tanner Lueckenhoff at 182 and Chance Cumpton at 285 all moved on with quarterfinal wins.
Blair Oaks is tied with Hallsville for fifth in the team standings with 31 points. Seneca totaled 77.5 points Friday to take a big lead against second-place Centralia (39.5) and third-place Versailles (39). Tipton is fourth with 35. Fatima is ninth with 23.
Falling for the Falcons in the quarterfinals were Zach Wieberg at 106, Joey Conway at 113, Haylee Beazley at 120, London Gaydos at 126, Bo Thomas at 145, Paul Karsten at 152, Riley Boeckman at 170 and Daniel Mudd at 220. Joining them in the wrestlebacks will be Logan Moore at 195.

Fatima also will have four wrestlers in today's semifinals.
Clayton Haslag at 106, Cody Huhn at 132, Caleb Schroeder at 138 and Brady Weavers at 285 all won their quarterfinals Friday.
Also still alive for the Comets is Zachary Even at 145.

Versailles advanced seven wrestlers to the semifinals with quarterfinal victories.
Konner Shewmaker at 106, Kooper Wilson at 113, Nathan Long at 120, Dalton Schmidt at 145, Adam Guinn at 160, Willie Schotte at 170 and Dylan Ballew at 182 are all one win away from advancing to next week's Class 1 state tournament.
Also still alive in the wrestlebacks for the Tigers are Brett Clemens at 126, Jacob Vogt at 132, Sam Dornan at 138, Jacob Aeschbacher at 195, Rex Sheeley at 220 and Ethan Gale at 285.

Tipton will have five wrestlers in the semifinals.
Robert Guitierrez at 113, Jordan Barnhart at 126, Wyatt Parker at 145, Ryan Bruce at 195 and Charles Walsh at 220 all won in the quarterfinals.
Also still alive in the wrestlebacks for the Cardinals are Trevan Isaacs at 138, Trenton Burnett at 152, Hayden Schuster at 160. Austin Bennett at 170, Zachary Wilcox at 182 and Kyle Brink at 285.
