CREDE Joshua David Crede, 40, of Westphalia, Missouri, passed away Thursday, October 5, 2023, at Capital Region Medical Center. He was born on July 27, 1983, in Westphalia, Missouri. He was the son of Debbie Crede and the late David Crede. He was a 2001 graduate of Fatima High school and attended St Joseph Catholic Grade School in Westphalia. Josh’s dream was to play professional baseball, but he suffered complications from an automobile accident in 1999. He loved playing baseball with his brothers at a very early age. He played baseball and basketball for the Fatima Comets and American Legion baseball in the summers. As an adult, he coached several youth baseball teams. Joshua worked for Weathercraft, Ronnoco Coffee, and the State of Missouri as the Governor’s aide investigating incoming mail for suspicious materials. He was most recently employed at Central Dairy until he was diagnosed with bladder cancer in March of this year. He was an avid fan of all his nieces and nephews in their sports. He also enjoyed watching and quoting movies, playing the lottery, and collecting sports memorabilia, rare coins and bills. He was resourceful, strong as an ox, and had a crazy, often dry, sense of humor. He will be missed and cherished by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his father, David T. Crede; grandparents, Eugene and Marie Parris, and Adolph and Anna Crede; and his great-uncle and singing buddy, Alois Crede. He is survived by his mother, Debbie Crede; three siblings, Leigh Anne (Jose) Martin of Jefferson City, Brad (Kim) Crede, and Joe (Lisa) Crede all of Westphalia; his very special friend and companion, Melanie Biele of Jefferson City; 11 nieces and nephews, Abby Crede, Ellie Crede Jackson Crede, Anna Crede, Lucy Crede, Jace Crede, Joseph Travis, Brandon Martin, Jordan Martin, Kaeyla Lampe, and Aleesha Lampe; and great-nephews, Elijah Hammond and Kashton Lampe-Coleman. There will be a private family service at Hilke-Millard Family Chapel in Westphalia, Missouri. A public Celebration of Life will take place on November 11, 2023, at Apple Creek Farms in Centertown, Missouri during the Joshua Crede Benefit. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made to Joshua Crede Benefit Fund to be used for local charitable donations.
