Logan Joseph Lowry, 20, of Wardsville, Missouri, passed away due to injuries sustained from a motorcycle accident on Monday, February 20, 2023. He was born on August 22, 2002, in Jefferson City, Missouri, a son to Scot David Lowry and Cathy Ann Hughes Lowry. Logan was a 2021 graduate of Blair Oaks High School. He attended State Technical College of Missouri until deciding to fulfill his lifelong dream of joining the United States Marine Corps. His goal and hopes were to serve in the K-9 Unit. He was currently employed with the Department of Revenue in the Taxation Division. Logan had a vibrant, fun-loving, and free spirit. He loved being with friends, making people laugh, flirting with girls, and being the life of the party. He was good at many things and was a quick learner. Logan especially enjoyed building things, woodworking, fishing, practicing golf, longboarding, and watching sunsets. He and his best friend, Ryan, shared the same joy in driving around and listening to music. He enjoyed spending quality time with his family and friends. He was a risk-taker, enjoyed a good challenge, and spent each day living his life to the fullest. To know Logan was to love him. He will be deeply missed. Logan is survived by his parents, Scot (Carla) Lowry and Cathy (Ben Cooper) Hughes Lowry; sisters, Jordyn (Nicholas) Gillam and Lanie Lowry; half-sisters, Aubree and Braelynn Lowry; step-brothers, Corey (Katelyn) Love, Ryan (Ashley) Love, and Brayden Cooper; step-sister, Riley Cooper; best friend and honorary brother, Ryan Austin; paternal grandparents, Howard and Barbara Lowry; maternal grandmother, Rita Hughes; step-grandparents, Delores Hughes, Gene Massman, Rick and Rhonda Johnson, Skip Cooper, and Dennis Schulte; and nephew, Emmett Gillam. He was preceded in death by his half-brother, Joshua Bailey; and maternal grandfather, Fred Hughes. Friends and family will be received on Monday, February 27, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors in Jefferson City. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Wardsville. Logan will be laid to rest at St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery.
