Dwight Edwin Phillips

Dwight Edwin Phillips, passed away on September 26, 2022, at Oak Tree Villa. He was born in California, Mo., to Dwight I. and Ruby L. (Jennison) Phillips on January 31, 1941. On November 22, 1961, he was united in marriage to Patricia P. Kirchhoff. He worked for MFA for 10 years, then MO Power & Light (Ameren U.E.) for 27 years until he retired at 58 years old because of illness. Eddie had a lung transplant on July 2, 2007. He raised black Angus and enjoyed farming on his farm north of Centertown. He was a member of First Baptist Church. He enjoyed many hobbies; baseball card and stamp collecting, selling items on e-Bay, playing and singing in a local band. Eddie enjoyed having fun with his grandchildren, and his great-grandchildren brought him great enjoyment. Eddie looked forward to traveling with Pat to Mountain View, Arkansas and Branson regularly. Eddie leaves his wife, Patricia; two sons; Eddie D. Phillips (Martha) and Thomas E. Phillips (Renee); three grandchildren, Brandon T. Phillips (Abby), Amy Wilhelm (Kyle), and Dakota Crawford (Zach); three great-grandsons, Landon T. Phillips, Jayden P. Phillips, and Paul C. Crawford; one brother, Ronnie D. Phillips (Susan) of Jefferson City, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be held Friday, September 30, 2022, 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at Windmill Ridge Funeral Service. Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Jeremy Anderson officiating. Interment will be at California Masonic Cemetery. Contributions are suggested to the California Nutrition Center.
