James Dale Fitzsimmons Jr., age 58, passed from this life into the presence of the Lord, on Sunday, September 11, 2022, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City. Jim was born July 2, 1964, in Jefferson City, Missouri. He was born to Jimmie D. and Barbara L. Fitzsimmons. He attended school in Jefferson City and as an adult returned to college to earn an associate degree in Computer Networking from Linn State Technical College, in 2002. After high school, he spent his early years traveling the United States and many other countries with the country music band The Hambo Latham Show. Following his music career, Jim spent over 30 years as an over-the-road truck driver. Jim loved and supported his family through hard work, sacrifice, and determination. Jim made many friends across all walks of life. He spent many weekends fishing, hunting, and BBQing (personal and competitive). He loved to share these passions with many of those in his life. Jim is survived by his fiancé Elaine Little, his four children: son Nicholas (and wife Alisha), daughter Kallie Schaefer (and husband Justin), son Colten (and wife Cheyenne), and daughter Katherine Fitzsimmons; by his grandchildren: Amiyah, Juliana, Jeremiah, Roman, Sawyer, Lyla, and Colten Jr.; by his mother Barbara Robinson; and by his sisters Lesa Robinett and Sonya Garrison. This is an open invitation to Jim Fitzsimmons' visitation and memorial service. The service will take place at First Assembly of God church in Jefferson City, Missouri, on Saturday, September 17, 2022. Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m., and the memorial service begins at 11:00 a.m. In addition, the service will be streamed online live at www.firstassembly.org
