Hazel Clara Boss, 94, of Chamois, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at Westphalia Hills with her family by her side. She was born on December 22, 1927, a daughter to the late Ben and Frances (Zietzman) Hackmann in Morrison, Missouri. On August 5, 1950, she was united in marriage to Fred "Peck" Boss at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Chamois. Hazel attended school in Morrison. She spent the majority of her career in the apparel industry working for a variety of companies including Obermans Garment Factory, Weiss Shoe Factory, and Langenberg Hat Factory. She retired from Morrison Apparel after many years of service. Hazel was a lifelong member of Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church. She enjoyed traveling, shopping, putting puzzles together, eating Chinese food, and listening to country music, especially George Strait. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Hazel will be deeply missed by those who were blessed to know her. Hazel is survived by her daughter, Pauline (Tim) Forck; grandchildren, Lauren (Patrick) Wood, Garrett (Lauren) Forck, and Adam (Cassey) Forck; and great-grandchildren, Grayson, Parker, and Flora May Wood, and Louis and Simon Forck. She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Fred "Peck" Boss, and two sisters, Virginia Giesing and Octavia Turner. Friends will be received on Tuesday, September 06, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church. A Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment will directly follow at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church.
