Virginia Lee "Ginny" Rippeto, 97, of Jefferson City, passed away Monday, May 16, 2022, at Heisinger Bluffs. She was born March 22, 1925, in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of Leland and Anna (Niedert) Harbur. Ginny was educated in the parochial schools of St. Louis and graduated in 1943 from Rosati-Kain High School. She was united in marriage on May 14, 1949, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Maplewood, Mo. to Richard James Rippeto who preceded her in death on November 18, 2013. Prior to her marriage, she was employed as a stenographer. After moving to the Central Missouri area in 1967, she was employed by the State, retiring in 1989, as secretary for the late Missouri Supreme Court Judge Robert T. Donnelly. She was a former member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and more recently, a member of the Cathedral of St. Joseph. Ginny enjoyed needlework, reading, and watching the St. Louis Baseball Cardinals. She volunteered at the Samaritan Center for several years. She is survived by her three children, Janet (Dale) Branson, Jefferson City; Mark (Vicki) Rippeto, Excelsior Springs; Karl Rippeto, Lake Ozark; three grandchildren, Adam (Sharayah) Branson, Ross (Lexi) Branson, Patrick Rippeto; three great-grandchildren, Clark Branson, Emmerett Branson, Knox Branson; three step-great-grandchildren, Alex McDonald, Maverick McDonald, Mari McDonald; and two siblings, Lorraine Miller, St. Louis; and Leanna Finnegan, Kansas City, Kan. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a sister, Joan Cholet. Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at St. Martin Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Louis Nelen officiating. Entombment will follow at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Samaritan Center or to Heisinger Bluffs Benevolent Fund. Services entrusted to Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home - Jefferson City.
