Robert E. Kasmann, 78, formerly of Jefferson City, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 19, 2022, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 26, 1944, in Montgomery County, Missouri (near Jonesburg) on the family farm; the only son of the late John and Pauline (Erisman) Kasmann. He was united in marriage to Telitha "Ty" Hall on June 1, 1980, in High Hill, Missouri. He was a 1962 graduate of Montgomery County R-2 and went on to graduate from Mohler Barber College in St. Louis, Missouri. Robert enlisted in the Missouri National Guard and retired after a long career of service. He owned several barber shops through the years and retired from the Missouri Department of Corrections after 22 years. He was active in the Veterans of Foreign Wars Honor Guard. He enjoyed St. Louis Cardinals baseball, Capital City Square Dancers, gardening, working in the yard and watching Mizzou basketball. Most of all he loved making memories with his family. Robert is survived by his wife, Telitha "Ty"; sons, Scott Kasmann (Janice) and Ross Kasmann (Michelle); sisters, Wilma Wilson (Floyd), Katherine Griebel (Jim) and Betty Gerdeman (Jake Epple); grandchildren, Elizabeth, Heather, Elijah and Alexandria; and six nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received on Friday, May 27, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors with Memorial Service following at 11:00 a.m. Arrangements are under the direction of HOUSER-MILLARD Funeral Directors, 2613 West Main Street, Jefferson City, Missouri 65109 (573) 636-3838.
