Bobby Lee Mealy, age 84, of Mokane, went to heaven on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, from surgical complications. He was born at home on May 2, 1938, the second son of Walter Samuel (Deck) Mealy and Gladys Marie (Cepicky) Mealy. Bob was the paternal grandson of Samuel Marvin Mealy and Alma Ada (Krebs) Mealy and the maternal grandson of Adolph Joseph Cepicky and Eda Rose (Binggeli) Cepicky. July 13, 1957 Bobby and Joann (Clingman) Mealy were married at St Peter Catholic Church in Fulton by Father Daniel Tarleten. A beautiful and well suited couple they shared just shy of 65 years of marriage. Bob and Joann raised their girls in a loving Catholic home. Bob grew up a farm boy learning to work hard and was very tough. He was Superman to his girls! Bob loved his family, fox hunting, gumdrops, gardening, little trucks, ice cream, fishing, mowing grass and he LOVED baseball, especially the St. Louis Cardinals. Fond fishing memories with his childhood friends John and Roger Horstman were very special to Bob. He was a great mechanical fixer and at the age of nine figured out how to power his bicycle with a lawn mower motor! People's addiction to cell phones was one of Bob's least favorite things! Bob's work life included time at Sky Go Dairy, Harbison Walker International and Callaway County Road and Bridge. Survived by his "Annie", wife Joann and daughters Deb and Pam of Mokane, and Beth (Tracy) of Jefferson City, Bob went to heaven with a piece of each of their hearts. Siblings Janis Stieferman (Walt), Sherelene Horstman, Joyce Wilson (Steve), Larry Mealy, Ron Mealy (Carlie) and Rick Mealy (Kathy) survive their brother along with sister-in-law Joyce Mealy. Bob joins his grandparents, parents, brother Kenny, sister-in-law Mary Mealy, brother-in-law Clyde Horstman and father/mother-in-law Elvin and Bernadine (Eldringhoff) Clingman in Heaven. Grandchildren and great-grandchildren were a constant in Bob's life and he loved to tease and play with them. Missing Grandpa will be his grandchildren: Heather Murphy (Darren), Brad Bartley (Mandi), Dustin Gibson (Kasie), Caitlin Bartley and Autumn Gibson. Bob lives on in his great-grandchildren, Rafe, Harper, and Paisley Murphy, Kyli and Kaine Gibson and Rylee Bartley. Joann, Deb, Pam and Beth would like to thank Father Joseph Abah for his comfort and kindness, Dr. Randall Meyer, Dr. James Tritz, Dr. Steven Lyons, Dr. Bryce Bond, Dr. Kathryn Jones, Dr. Brian Haslag, Dr. Delali Buatsi and the AWESOME ICU staff (Linda, Dana, Ashley, Hunter, Jessica and Jon) at Capital Region hospital for their tremendous care of Bob. We simply couldn't have asked for better! Bob was a member of St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church in Mokane. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. at Debo Funeral Home. Catholic prayer service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Fr.
