Mary Jane Doerhoff, 76, of Jefferson City, passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at St. Mary's Hospital. She was born March 9, 1946, in Mary's Home, Missouri, the daughter of the late John Wesley and Johanna "Jennie" Katherine (Holzer) Clarkston. Mary Jane was a graduate of Eugene High School. She was united in marriage on September 10, 1988, at the Cathedral of St. Joseph in Jefferson City to Rowland William Doerhoff, who survives at the home. Mary Jane worked for Florsheim Group in the accounting department, was the Secretary/Treasurer of the American Legion State Headquarters, and was the Treasurer of the Veteran of Foreign Wars Post 1003. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, life-member of the American Legion Post 5, and a life-member of the VFW Post 1003. Mary Jane enjoyed playing softball in her younger years, going on trips to the casinos, watching the St. Louis Cardinals, playing darts, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, Rowland Doerhoff, Jefferson City; two children, Debra (Steven) Luetkemeier, Marthasville, Mo.; Glenn (Tammy) Anderson, Jefferson City; step-daughter, Sandra (Nate) Davis, Smithville, Mo.; six grandchildren, Corey Findley, Alexandra Chappell, Benjamin Luetkemeier, Samuel Luetkemeier, Jeremy Rowland, Geoffrey Rowland; five great-grandchildren; three siblings, William (Helen) Clarkston, Jefferson City; Wilburn Clarkston, Westphalia; Darrell (Joyce) Clarkston, Jefferson City; and a sister-in-law, Rita Clarkston, Jefferson City. She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Evelyn Thoenen, Louise Weed, Ruth Clarkston, Charyl Clarkston; and three brothers, Lawrence, Charlie, and James Clarkston. Visitation will be 4:30-7 p.m., Monday, March 28, 2022, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 4 p.m. with the Rev. Msgr. Robert A. Kurwicki officiating. Memorials are suggested to the American Legion Post 5, VFW Post 1003, or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home is in harge of arrangements.
