Bernard Clark, 71, passed away peacefully Thursday, March 3, 2022, at St. Mary's Hospital in Jefferson City, Mo., with loved ones around him. He was born May 11, 1950, in Jefferson City, Mo., to Vernie and Julie Mae Clark. He was married March 25, 1995, to Sally Ousley Clark in Holts Summit, Mo., who survives of the home. Bernard worked at Unilever in Jefferson City until his disability in 2002. He was employed there for an outstanding 24 years. He was also employed at DeLong's in Jefferson City, Mo. and Fulton Power Plant in Fulton, Mo. Bernard was a very outdoorsy person and he loved spending time with his family and friends. He liked hunting, fishing, boating and putting trout lines out. He had a passion for gardening and raising cucumbers and tomatoes, especially big tomatoes. He was a sports fan and would attend football games with his grandson, Mason Green, and would go to baseball, basketball and football games with his grandson, Cole Leslie. He had the desire to go see Lucas Leech bowl but wasn't able to due to his health issues. He enjoyed taking rides on the rhino with his grandkids and he always loved to babysit his grandkids: Scott, Mason, Porschia, and Cole. Bernard is survived by his wife, Sally Clark; daughters, Sheila Coonce, Jennifer (Jason) Leslie and Tosha Clark; step-children, Patricia Taggart, Michael Branch and Eric Miller; granddaughter, Porschia Renee (Stephen) Bell; grandsons, Scott M. (Katlin) Akin, Mason (Shawna) Green and Cole Joseph Leslie; several step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; siblings, Ronnie Clark, Addie (Ralph) Perish, and Gail Clark. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Cleo, Pearl and Mae; three brothers, Charlie, Stephen and James Clark; brother-in-law, Mike Ousley Sr.; and sister-in-law, Donna Hammond. Friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 10, 2022, at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor David Bulson officiating. Interment will be at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
