Cami Elizabeth Fick Bowman, 35, of Loose Creek, Missouri, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2022, surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on September 20, 1986, daughter of Luke Fick and Geri (Hentges) Fick. She was united in marriage to the love of her life, Anthony Bowman, on April 30, 2016, in a beautiful outdoor ceremony near Westphalia. Cami was a 2004 graduate of Fatima High School. She went on to earn both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Columbia College. She was employed in numerous area businesses while she attended college and was currently employed with the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. Cami lived her life with unprecedented enthusiasm and fervor. She had a heart that grew bigger each day and was especially drawn to serve those who were struggling in some way. She sought out people who needed help and warmly did whatever she could to make their lives better. She was unapologetically herself and encouraged others to live fully and completely the way God created them. Her mottoes seemed to be: “Live fearlessly, love fiercely” and “Go big, or go home!” She attacked each challenge with every fiber of her being. Cami’s passions grew and changed over the years, but she was always an undaunted supporter of her family and friends, a lover of good food, the color purple, practical jokes and with her around, you could always expect the unexpected. She loved to laugh and make others laugh as well. When she started a family she became a strong advocate and protector of her children. She developed a passion for baking delicious desserts and sweet treats - prompting her to start a business aptly named from a nickname her beloved Dad gave her as a child. Scooter’s Sweets and Treats included specialties like monster cookies, cheesecakes, carrot cake, pies and any special request that would make someone’s day. She loved to bake because she knew her creations brought people joy. Cami’s zest for life and loving spirit will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Anthony; and children Mila Hagedorn and Corbin Bowman; her mother, Geri Fick; brother, Jeff Fick (Ashley) and sister, Megan Fick-Haslag (Shaun); maternal grandmother, Marieta Hentges; sisters-in-law, Angelina Bowman and Patty Powell; brother-in-law, Bradley Powell Jr.; nieces, Makenna, Savanna and Aliza Haslag, Chloe Fick and Abbi Ray; nephews, Carson Fick and James Lawson III; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Luke Fick; grandparents, Al Hentges and Joe and Dorothy (Scheulen) Fick; an aunt, JoAnn Fick Backes; uncles, Mike Hentges and Carter (Jr.) Peters; and a cousin, Chad Thoenen. Friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. on Monday, June 27, 2022 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Loose Creek. Prayer service will begin at 3:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2022, 10:00 a.m., at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Loose Creek.
