Billie Ann Elrod, age 90, of Vienna, passed from this life Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at her residence in Vienna. She was born August 13, 1931, at Vichy, a daughter of Charles Clyde and Lucy Ann (Ragan) Love. She was united in marriage January 25, 1958, at Vichy, to Leonard Allen Elrod, who preceded his wife in death January 12, 1977. Billie started her working career as a school teacher, and later was employed as a secretary for Emerson Electric Company, St. Louis, during the war years. After moving back home, she went to work as a secretary for the USDA Soil Conservation Office, later the Extension Office, and last, the Associate Circuit Court Office in the Maries County Courthouse. Billie was a devoted farmer's wife who enjoyed canning, baking, gardening, planting flowers and tending to her Begonias. She was a member of Vienna United Methodist Church and Holy Hatters organization of the church. Billie loved spending time with her family, her grandchildren, and her great-grandchildren. Fond and precious memories of Billie will always be in the hearts of her dear family and all who knew and loved her. Those left to mourn the passing of Billie include her children: Susann Green (Bill), Jefferson City, Kimbly J. Elrod (fiancée, Kimberly), Newburg, and John Green, Belle; grandchildren: Kymberly Strange (Nolan), Debborah Neuman (Kyle), Phoenix Elrod, Kevin Green ( fiancée Ariel), Kate Elliott (Justin), and Ryan Green; great-grandchildren: Taylor Strange, Brayden Strange, Jace Neuman, Emerlyn Neuman, Evin Green, Lane Green, Oliva Green, Sophia Green, Keegan Hay, Kyleigh Hay, and Karlee Hay. In addition to her husband, Leonard, she was also preceded in death by her father, Charles, in 1962; her mother, Lucy, in 1969; her brothers and sisters, Jim Crutts, Hazel Coats, Cecil Doyle Love, Earl Love, Clyde Lloyd "Bud" Love, Maude Mae Bailey, Jessie Etheleen Workman, Raymond "Buck" Love, and sisters/brothers-in-law, Mildred (Elrod) and John Murdock, Winford and Venita Elrod, LaVaughn (Elrod) Zimmer, Eloise Love, Vernetta Love, and Lockie Love, Lloyd Workman, Dorsey Bailey. Visitation for Mrs. Billie Ann Elrod will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, June 3, 2022, and Saturday, June 4, 2022, from 9:00-10:00 a.m. in Vienna United Methodist Church, 104 Highway 63 North, Vienna, MO 65582, followed by her funeral service at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 4, 2022, in the church, with Rev. Larry Sorrells officiating, under the direction of Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Vienna. Interment for Mrs. Elrod will be in Elrod Cemetery, now known as Union Hill Cemetery, next to her beloved husband, Leonard, with John Green, Ryan Green, Kevin Green, Bill Green, Justin Elliott, Keegan Hay, Bill Thoele, and Tom Elrod, Jr. serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers for Mrs. Elrod are Kim Elrod, Marvin Zimmer, Tom Elrod, Roger Ball, her grandchildren, and her great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions in memory of Mrs. Billie Elrod are suggested per the wishes of the family with envelopes available at the church the day of the service or in care of Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, P.O.
