Janet Elaine Morgan Sapanas

Janet Elaine Morgan Sapanas, 75, of Centerview, Mo., passed away, Sunday, May 22, 2022, in her home. Janet was born in Columbia, Mo., on December 13, 1947, the daughter of Teddy Roosevelt Morgan and Ona Mae Martin. Janet was a very loving and giving person, her favorite hobbies were collecting antiques, painting, making jewelry and gardening. Janet was an avid field Genealogist and had an adventurous soul, she loved finding out about her family and their place in history, she helped to document several generations and co-wrote some papers and books on the subject. Janet's passion was family and relationships with everyone she met but enjoyed the simple life she had with the numerous pets she has owned and taken care of over the years. Janet is survived by a son, Steve George Sapanas, Jr. and wife Leslie of South Jordan, Utah; a son, Kelly Theodore Sapanas and wife Candi of Raleigh, N.C.; a son, William Joseph (BJ) Sapanas of Centerview, Mo.; two granddaughters, MaShealyn LaRae Sapanas and great-grandson, Micah Theodore Sapanas of Raleigh, N.C.; Victoria (Wimberley) Dwyer; husband, Jesse and great-grandson, Nolan Wimberley of Kalamazoo, Mich.; a brother, William Theodore Morgan and wife Joy of Columbia, Mo.; a brother, Joseph Nathaniel Morgan and wife Joan of Granger, Iowa; a sister, Kathryn Marlene Bohanan and husband Curtis Bernard of Jefferson City, Mo.; a sister, Mary Lou Stephens and husband Joe Francis of Springfield, Mo. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Ellen Sue Morgan; and one nephew, Curtis Bernard Bohanan II. No services were held.
