Shirley Ann Albright, 81, of California, Mo., passed away on Saturday, July 2, 2022, at Rock Island Village in Eldon, Mo. She was born March 8, 1941, in Magnolia, Ark., the daughter of Elmer and Evelyn Green Wilson. She graduated from Magnolia High School, Magnolia, Ark. Shirley was married to Rev. Herbert Albright on December 31, 1960, in Dallas, Texas. In partnership with her husband’s ministry, they started an Assembly of God Church in Mexico, Mo., where Shirley was the founder and director of Noah’s Ark Daycare. She enjoyed and traveled all over the United States, distributing items from her “Personality by Shirley” Woodcrafts business. She loved scrapbooking and gospel music. Shirley worked as an Accountant for MODOT until her retirement. She was a member of the Calvary Assembly of God in Jefferson City. She started the traveling ministry of ventriloquism with her daughters to churches doing children’s crusades. She passed the art of ventriloquism, puppetry, and musical talents to her children, who continue those ministries in churches and communities. Shirley is survived by: two daughters, Janna Worsham (Doug) of Columbia and Mechelle Matthews (Terry) of McGirk; one son, Christopher Albright (Donna) of Jefferson City; four grandchildren, Miranda, Nicholas, Maci, and Zander; three sisters-in-law, Janie Jameson, Linda Smith, and Sherry Linton; and several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, Shirley was also preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Herbert Lee Albright on September 6, 2017; one sister, Dorothy Montgomery (Kelly) , and three brothers, Buddy, Gary, and Kay Green. “Shirley and Herb had a long life of ministering to so many people over so many years. She was a VIC at Central Missouri Correctional Center (Church Farms) and joined Herb along with all three of their children at the CMCC Chapel for many years, ministering to the offenders there. We love you Shirley and will miss you so much, but we never say “goodbye”, but rather “we’ll see you a little later.” Funeral Ceremony was held on Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at Windmill Ridge Funeral Service with Rev. Jeff Higbie and Rev. Doug Worsham officiating. Interment followed at California City Cemetery.
