Joan "Joni" Boss, age 82, of Chamois, Missouri, passed away on June 25, 2022, at Capital Region Medical Center. She was born July 3, 1939, in Gasconade County, a daughter of the late Louis and Ina (Casey) Ruggles. On June 20, 1959, she was united in marriage to Otto Boss at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church. She was a 1957 graduate of Hermann High School. For 21 years she worked as an Order Processor for Mosby's. Joni was active in her community and was a member of the Lion's Club, Community of Faith Choir, founded the Chamois Community in Action, and was a faithful member of Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church. She was a passionate collector of antiques and enjoyed gardening. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren (her dumplins). Joni is survived by her children, Bryan Boss (Leah Ann) of Bonnots Mill, Connie Brandt (Stanley) of Linn and Vicky Nelson (Rowan) of Fulton; sister, Linda Casey (Jim) of Jefferson City; brother, Bobby Ruggles of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; grandchildren, Mitchell Brandt (Michelle), Nicole Reinkemeyer (Ben), Miranda Weed (Josh), Alyssa Jaouni (Brian) and Dillon Boss (Andrea); and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years. Friends will be received from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 9, 2022, at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Chamois, Missouri. Memorial Mass will follow with Fr. David Means officiating. Interment will be private for the family. Expressions of sympathy can be made to Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church.
