Richard Dale Tuttle

Richard Dale Tuttle, 61 of Cotton, Mo., passed away January 23, 2022, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born February 15, 1960, the fifth child of nine to Warren (Gene) and Leola (Long) Tuttle of Cotton, Mo. He graduated from Tipton R-VI school and was a proud member of the class of 1978. He was united in marriage to Sherry Yarnell on September 24, 1983, at First Baptist Church, Tipton. He was a member of Oakland Baptist Church. During high school he worked at Blochberger MFA in Tipton then retired after 36 years of service from Chesebrough Ponds\Unilever in Jefferson City. His retirement job was running the parts route for Sydenstricker-Nobbe Partners from Tipton, Rocheport, Columbia and Mexico. Richard’s love aside from his family, were traditional country and christian music, telling stories and jokes, learning family history, caring for his cattle, working on the farm, and instigating some trouble with his nieces and nephews. Richard is survived by his wife, Sherry of the home; daughters, Emma (Josh) Feilbach, California and Hannah (Seth) Stemberger of Tipton; grandchildren, Raylee and Rhett Stemberger and Ezra Feilbach; two brothers, David (Debbie) Tuttle and Mike (Jeannie) Tuttle, both of Cotton; four sisters, Judy (Steve) Oppermann, Tipton, Bonnie (Larry) Allee, California, Rhonda (John) Miller, Syracuse and Rita (David) Pace of Fortuna; his mother-in-law, Lucille Barbour, California; sisters-in-law, Patty Tuttle, Cotton, Margaret (Mike) Beeman, Tipton, Kathy Murphy (Larry), California, LoisAnn Barbour, Granbury, Texas and Pauline Klenz, Lomita, Calif.; brothers-in-law, Billy Meyer and Russell Yarnell, California and Joe Barbour, Lomita, Calif.; aunts, Frances Evans, Oak Grove, Sally (Bill) Vogel and Joyce (Chuck) Crook, both of California; one godson, Jonathan Tuttle, along with many nieces and nephews that were very special to him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Warren and Leola Tuttle; father-in-law, Virgil Barbour, Brothers Charles and Dean Tuttle; sisters-in-law, Elsie Meyer, Mae Gordon and Judy Blankenship and brother-in-law Jim Barbour. Visitation was held Sunday, January 30, 2022, from 3-6 p.m. at the Fortuna Baptist Church. Funeral Services was at 10 a.m. on Monday, January 31, 2022, also at the Fortuna Baptist Church. Burial was at the Tipton Masonic Cemetery. Memorial Contributions are suggested to CJD Research or Oakland Baptist Church c/o the funeral home. Arrangements were under the direction of Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, California, Mo.
