Sherry Hampton

Sherry Lynn Jungmeyer Hampton, 55, of California, Mo., passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at SSM St. Mary’s Hospital in Jefferson City, Mo. She was born on February 27,1967 in St. Louis, Mo., the daughter of Donald Jungmeyer and Carol (Baade) Jungmeyer, both who survive of California, Mo. Sherry was united in marriage on July 27, 2002 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church to Bryan Hampton, who survives of the home. She was an L.P.N. for many years working for California Care Center, Moniteau Care Center, Heisinger Bluffs, Phoenix Home Care and currently was working for Oak Tree Villa. She was a lifelong member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church where she was confirmed, baptized and in the church choir. Sherry played in the California Ensemble, liked counted cross-stitching, enjoyed watching the KC Royals, St. Louis Cardinals, Kansas City Chiefs, dirt track racing, loved her cats and grand fur babies. She was a graduate of California High School and received her L.P.N. degree from Tri-County Technical College in Eldon, Mo. Sherry is survived by her husband, Bryan Hampton of the home; parents, Donald and Carol Jungmeyer of California, Mo.; daughter, Adrienne Reifsteck (ShaNay Long) of California, Mo.; step-son, Jacob Hampton of California, Mo.; brother, Darrell Jungmeyer of Centertown, Mo.; in-laws, David and Sherry Hampton of California, Mo. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Carl and Lydia Baade; paternal grandparents, Robert and Frances Jungmeyer; grandparent in-laws, Mike and Ruby Martin. Visitation will be on Monday, January 2, 2023 from 10:00 a.m.-12 Noon with funeral immediately following at 12 Noon, all at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in California, Mo. Officiating will be Pastor Evandro Kopper. Burial will be at the St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery in California, Mo. Memorials are suggested to the family of Sherry Jungmeyer Hampton, c/o the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, California, Mo.
