Gerald Voss

Gerald Louis Voss, 76, of Jefferson City, passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2022, at St. Mary’s Health Center. He was born on January 30, 1946, in Cole County, a son of the late Louis Gerhardt and Bernadine Johanna (Gentges) Voss. Gerald was united in marriage on September 13, 1980, to Margie O. Fowler. Gerald was a 1965 graduate of Linn High School. He enjoyed listening to country music on the radio and watching westerns. Gerald was a talented musician and played lead guitar with the “Country Companions”. Gerald is survived by his wife of 42 years, Margie; brother-in-law, Charles Buechter; sister-in-law, Agnes Voss; brother, Mike Weaver; nieces, Paula Benton (Tom) and Joy Stafford; nephews, Terry Joe (Amanda) and Jon Engelbrecht (Sharon). He was preceded in death by his parents;, brother, David Voss and sister, Wanda Buechter. Friends will be received on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors for visitation. The service will start at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Walter Gilpin officiating. Interment will immediately follow in Longview Cemetery.
