Billie Jean Roark

Billie Jean Roark, 72, of Henley, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 19, 2022, at University Hospital with her family by her side. She was born in St. Louis, Missouri on August 21, 1949, a daughter of the late Charles and Lillian (Bonnel) Patterson. Billie Jean was united in marriage to Arthur Roark on February 28, 1970, in Eldon, Missouri. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother. Billie Jean enjoyed skiing, boating and watching her son, Earl, race cars. Billie Jean adored her grandchildren and making memories with them were times she treasured. She was also a wonderful caregiver to her parents and other family members. She will be greatly missed. Billie Jean is survived by her husband of 52 years, Arthur Roark Sr.; sons, Arthur Roark Jr. (Ardita) and Earl Roark (Angela); sister, Patty Siewing (Donald); sister-in-law and best friend, Zelma Tellman; brother-in-law, Cecil Roark (Judy); eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by multiple brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, uncles and aunts. Friends will be received on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. - 1l:00 a.m at Spring Valley Baptist Church with funeral services to follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in the Hickory Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
