Marcella Regina Schwartze, 85, of Jefferson City, Missouri, passed away on Monday, August 8, 2022. She was born on December 30, 1936, daughter of Henry and Theresa (Duebbert) Boeckmann of St. Elizabeth, Missouri. She married Bernard Henry Schwartze April 7, 1956 in St. Lawrence Catholic Church, St. Elizabeth, Missouri, with Reverend Jerome Bestgen officiating. She was a 1954 graduate of St. Elizabeth High School. She worked as a stenographer in the Cole County Division of Welfare and State Department of Health for four years. After that, she was a stay-at-home mom and raised four children. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Jefferson City, as well as a member of St. Ann's Sodality. Marcella did volunteer work at a local charity for five years. She enjoyed quilting and traveling. Marcella is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Bernard Schwartze of Jefferson City; sister, Irene (Frank) Utley of Covington, Washington; daughters, Lorraine (Joe) Blanck of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Irene "Zim" (Jay) Bramblett of Rocheport, Missouri; sons, Bernard (Joyce) Schwartze of Sterling, Colorado, Charles (Betsy Ulvang) Schwartze of Stilwell, Kansas; grandchildren, Richard Blanck III, Joshua Blanck, Tabitha Bramblett, Elijah Bramblett, William Schwartze, Elizabeth (Schwartze) Major, Joseph Schwartze, Emma Schwartze, Emily (Ulvang) Keller, Jack Ulvang; great-grandchildren, Zoie, Heidi, Abigail, Genevieve, and Noah Keller. She was preceded in death by her father, Henry Boeckman (May 29, 1959); mother, Theresa (Duebbert) Boeckmann (June 7, 1974); brothers, Raymond Boeckmann (September 25, 1935), Louis Boeckmann (April 17, 1988), Frank Boeckmann (February 1, 2008); sisters, Lucille Kraus (May 17, 1960), Florence Halfmann (February 5, 1970), Anne Wilson (January 19, 2002), Agnes Signaigo (May 21, 2013), and Martha Plassmeyer (September 27, 2019). Visitation will be held on Monday, August 15, 2022, from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with a Mass of Christian Burial immediately following at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be private for family. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
