Alexander John Krueger

Alexander John (A. J.) Krueger, age 92, passed away July 22, 2022, at Tidewell Hospice House, 5957 Rand Blvd. Sarasota, Fla. A.J. was born January 11, 1930, in Jefferson City, Missouri, an only child of Julius and Katherine Krueger. A.J. is survived by: his loving wife of 71 years, Helen Carol Baker Krueger; and a beloved step-sister, Jerene Hackney, Kansas City, Mo. A.J. was educated in the Jefferson City Public Schools and graduated from the School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin. He worked for Hawthorn Bank (formerly The Exchange National Bank) in Jefferson City for 35 years, retiring as a Vice President. A.J. was a Korean War veteran and a 65 year Roscoe Enloe Post No. 5, Jefferson City American Legion member. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 19, 2022 at the Presbyterian Church of the Covenant, 7950 S. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota, FL 34231. Interment will be at 11:30 a.m. at Sarasota National Cemetery, 9810 State Rd. 72, Sarasota, FL 34241.
