Nicholas Andrew Brown

Nicholas "Nick" Andrew Brown, 35, of Columbia, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 18, 2022, at his home. He was born on November 18, 1986, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri to Stephen E. Brown and Linda D. (Downing) Brown. Nick was a 2005 graduate of Jefferson City High School and attended Columbia College, studying business administration. He previously worked at Hy-Vee. Nick enjoyed sports cars, working with car audio systems, James Bond movies, scary movies, watersports, and going fast! He was known to be able to find the most expensive item on the menu at any restaurant and order it. He was a St. Louis Cardinals fan and enjoyed attending games, and was a connoisseur of t-shirts, jeans, and flip-flops. Nick loved his cat, Hunter, whom he had for many years. He is survived by his parents, Steve Brown (Linda S.) and Linda Brown; brothers, Steve Brown Jr. (Carla) and Corey Brown (Jasmine D'Souza); paternal grandmother, Vivian Joyce Brown; maternal grandmother, Jessie Elizabeth Downing; nieces, Emma and Ella Brown; and numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his step-sister, Katie Paul; maternal grandfather, Jack Downing; and paternal grandfather, Irvin "Gene" Brown. Friends will be received from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 21, 2022, at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors. A funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 22, 2022, at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors. A private family burial will take place at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
