Leon Goff, 85, of California, Mo., passed away on Thursday, September 9, 2021, at Harry S. Truman Memorial Hospital in Columbia, Mo. He was born April 29, 1936, in Jefferson City, Mo., the son of Willliam Leonard and Effie Irene Coleman Goff. He graduated from Simonsen High School in Jefferson City. He enlisted in the US Marines from 1954-1957 in Korea and Japan. Leon was married to Bertha Mae Fisher on August 2, 1959, at the Russellville Baptist Church. He started in the Lumber Business at MO Wood and then worked for Gant Lumber Company in Otterville for many years. He enjoyed being with friends and family. Leon is survived by three sons, Daniel L. Goff (Bessie), Gary W. Goff (Mary Ann), Kendall R. Goff (Penny); 24 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; one brother, Paul Goff; and several nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, Leon was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha Mae Goff; one son, Mitchell V. Goff; one grandson, Jason Steding; his great-granddaughter, Tara Steding; a brother, Dorsey "Bud" Goff; and two sisters, Charlotte Wilbers and Betty Dean Elliott. Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 14, 2021, 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at Windmill Ridge Funeral Service. Funeral Services will follow at 11:00 a.m., with Minister Jesse Breshears officiating. Interment will follow at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens, Jefferson City. Memorials are suggested to the Patriot Guard. Online condolences can be given at www.windmillridgefuneralservice.com.
