Jared Kenneth Danielsen, 38, of Belleville, Ill., died unexpectedly at his home Sunday, October 3, 2021, and a light went out in southern Illinois. Jared was born on January 17, 1983, to Kathy, nee Boessen, and Holger Danielsen. Even as a child, Jared was kind, bright and funny. Full of life and often full of mischief, he truly was loved by everyone who knew him and all of us so lucky as to have counted him among our own, were better for it. Jared attended and graduated from St. Teresa's Elementary School and Althoff Catholic High School. In May of 2004, he graduated from Saint Louis University with a degree in Management Information Systems. While Jared's extracurricular passions were Westie dogs, sports and gaming, including the management of multiple fantasy football leagues, his career plan was to work in his family's business, AA Paper Collectibles in O'Fallon, IL, eventually taking it over from his parents. He was the heart of his family, whom he always put before himself, and remained devoted to caring for his mom and dad until the day he left this world. He was preceded in death by his Godfather and uncle, Kenny Boessen; his uncle, Pat Boessen; his maternal grandparents, John and Melba Boessen, and his paternal grandparents, Holger Danielsen Sr. and Louella McFall. Jared is survived by his mother, Kathleen Joan, nee Boessen, Danielsen; his father, Holger "Danny" Danielsen, both of Belleville; two brothers, Hoke Danielsen of Kansas City and Keith Danielsen; two nieces, Kelsey and Keely; a nephew, Kellen Danielsen, all of Florida; his paternal uncle, John McFall of Pattonsburg, Mo.; his paternal aunt, Sandra Howard of Sprout Springs, Va.; his maternal aunts and uncles, Linda Boessen (Pat) Kress of Kansas City, Carolyn Boessen Casteel of Hartsburg, Mo., Mike (Denise) Boessen of Columbia, Mo., Joann Boessen (widow of Kenny), John P. Jr. (Bev) Boessen, and Melody Boessen (Brian) Link, all of Loose Creek, Mo., and Chris Boessen of Ames, Iowa; as well as dozens of cousins in a large extended family across the country. Jared's brothers, cousins and lifelong friends have shared a thousand memories of him with the overwhelming sentiment being that Jared was not only loyal, fair, honest, and inclusive, he was just plain FUN. His goal in any gathering, activity or event was to make sure that everyone had a good time and left with great memories and the certainty that the next time they all got together, it would be even more epic than the last. And it always was. In that spirit to honor Jared, please join his family and friends for the memorial services listed below.
