Lynn Groose

Lynn Groose, 76, of Eugene, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 4, 2021, at Capital Region Medical Center surrounded by her family. She was born on January 6, 1945, in Oceanside California, a daughter of Otto and Christine (Forester) Lewis. Lynn was united in marriage on May 8, 1969, to the love of her life, Mike Groose. Lynn was a 1964 graduate of Pacific High School. She graduated from Lincoln University in 1968 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. Over her tenure she taught Elementary School for Eldon Elementary, Russelville Elementary, and Eugene Elementary. She enjoyed time with her friends, as well as time caring for her pets. Most of all, Lynn cherished spending time with her family and her husband, Mike. Lynn was a member of Capital City Cruisers car club and loved her Mustang GT. Her time with Car Club friends were some of her favorite memories. Lynn attended Mount Olive Baptist Church. Lynn left an impression on everyone she met and was loved by all. She was frequently approached by former students and thanked for the impact she had on their lives. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Mike; children, Stacie Palmer, Sarah Greenlee, Shelly Groose; sisters, Carolyn Lasley, Kathy Greer; grandchildren, Sydney Greenlee, Gillian Greenlee and Lia Callaway. Lynn was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Christine (Forester) Lewis. Friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. on November 8, 2021, at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors.
