Sherry M. Perkins

Sherry M. Perkins, 75, of Columbia, Mo., passed away in her home on Sunday, May 9, 2021. Sherry was born on February 12, 1946, at Callaway County Memorial Hospital, the daughter of the late Cass Jones and Louise (Atkinson) Jones. On August 2, 1992, she was united in marriage to Billy R. Perkins, who preceded her in death. Survivors include a son, Alan Schaeffer of Columbia; daughter, Sandra (Paul) Wald of Mendon; brother, Kenneth (Betty) Jones of Kingdom City; sister, Aliene (Dwight) Keesling of Columbia; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Sherry was a legal secretary for over 30 years at Smith Lewis, LLP, and helped her husband run Billy's General Store. She was a member of the McCredie United Methodist Church. She enjoyed baking for her family, birdwatching, gardening, playing the guitar and singing, and trips to Branson. Her family will cherish her memory. Visitation will be 10:00 - 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 12, 2021, at Memorial Funeral Home, 1217 Business Loop 70 West, Columbia. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m., followed by interment in Memorial Park Cemetery.
