She graduated from Hadley Technical High School in St. Louis in 1955. Marcia was married to Robert Hagan on January 14, 1956, at St. Adalbert's Catholic Church, St. Louis. To this union three children were born. Marcia stayed at home with her children until 1970 when the family moved to Jefferson City due to Bob's career with the Missouri State Highway Patrol. With her children in school, Marcia began bookkeeping for Berlin-Wheeler. Her love for reading then led her to begin working for the Missouri State Library where she retired. One of Marcia's favorite things to do was go on vacation! She and Bob took their family on numerous car trips all around the United States. Much to the delight of her grandchildren, her favorite destination was Disney World, where they enjoyed several family trips! All of her adult life Marcia kept a standing weekly beauty salon appointment where she loved having her hair and nails done. Pat and Kelly became dear friends over the years and they meant alot to her. Bob and Marcia moved to Primrose Retirement Community five years ago, where she quickly decided she liked playing bingo and socializing rather than cleaning. Marcia really enjoyed her time at Primrose. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Bob, as well as her daughter, Kathy Schanzmeyer and her family, Jennifer (George) Tergin and their son, Parker; Ryan (Johnna) Schanzmeyer and their daughters, Makayla and Nola; and Brooke (Sam) Wallace. Marcia is survived by her son, Robert (Sharon) Hagan Jr. and their children, Lauren and Emily Hagan. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Vicky Brightwell, Sandy (Bob) Greenamay; and several nieces and nephews. Marcia was preceded in death by her daughter and husband, Mary Beth and Mark Sherrell; her parents; three sisters, Evelyn, Natalie and Vivian, and their husbands. Marcia was a wonderful, wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was dearly loved and will be dearly missed. As per her wishes there will be no services.
