Linda Fair Schwartz, age 83 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away Monday, March 8, 2021, at Capital Region Medical Center surrounded by family. Linda was born on January 21, 1938, in St. Louis, Mo. She was married on May 7, 1960, in Jefferson City, Mo. to Robert Schwartz, who preceded her in death in November 1998. Linda was a 1956 graduate of Jefferson City High School. She was employed with Central Bank for a few years before deciding she was meant to be home caring for her family. She became a homemaker and never looked back. Linda was a woman of faith and a prior member of the Central United Church of Christ for many years. Recently she had the opportunity to take her place as a founding member of Oasis United Church of Christ and she was blessed to call it her church home. Linda was a shopaholic, never passing up an opportunity for retail therapy. She loved fashion and was always perfectly accessorized with big earrings and purses. She enjoyed decorating for the holidays, especially when she could dig into her Irish Roots for St. Patrick's Day. Linda grew up riding and traveling by train, and she even collected a few trains of her own over the years. Linda was a very generous and giving person, enjoyed a healthy debate and loved things to be neat and tidy. She had lists for her lists and was always perfectly organized. Linda cherished the conversations and laughter she shared with others, and she firmly believed that laughter added to your years. Survivors include: one daughter, Lisa Toler (husband, Paul) of Raymore, Mo.; three grandchildren, Carly Toler of Raymore, Mo., Jacob Toler of Greenwood, Mo., and Landon Toler of Columbia, Mo.; her significant other, Roger Scrivner of Jefferson City, Mo.; one grand-dog, Ellie; and many nieces and nephews. Linda was preceded in death by her husband and her parents. Visitation and Funeral Services were held Saturday, March 13, 2021, at Freeman Mortuary officiated by the Reverend Rushan Sinnaduray. Graveside service and interment were conducted at Riverview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to The Oasis United Church of Christ, 2017 William Street, Jefferson City, MO 65109. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary. www.freemanmortuary.com
