Julie Ann Johnson, 58, of Denver, Colo., passed away Saturday, February 27, 2021, at her home after a lengthy illness. She was born May 18, 1962, in Kansas City, Mo., the daughter of Joan (Bowman) Johnson and the late David Johnson. Julie grew up in Jefferson City, attending Immaculate Conception grade school. She graduated from Helias High School in 1980 and obtained her degree in Cosmetology at Jerry's School of Hairstyling in 1982. After working at a few prominent salons in Columbia, she opened and ran a successful business of her own, Tenacity by Jules, for many years there. She delighted in helping her clients and their families look their best. Family holidays often found Julie in the center of things, giving a fresh haircut or a makeover. "Who's your buddy, who's your pal?" would be heard when she played with her many nieces and nephews. Julie lived life on her own terms, and never lost her sense of humor. Julie comes from a large and loving family, of whom she was very proud. Survivors include her mother, Joan Johnson; seven siblings, Kathe (Jim) Menown, Kansas City; Jean Morley, Greeley, Colo.; Mike (Susie) Johnson, Dallas, Texas; Brian (Lisa) Johnson, Jefferson City; Keith (Molly) Johnson, Overland Park, Kan.; Gary (Lesley) Johnson, Basehor, Kan.; and Dan (Jill) Johnson, Chandler, Ariz.; her companion of many years, Raymond DiCrosta, Denver; many nieces, nephews, and a growing clan of great-nieces and nephews. Finally, Julie's extended Bowman and Johnson families meant a great deal to her. Visitation will be 10-11 a.m., Saturday, March 27, 2021, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Rev. I.C. Medina officiating. The service will be live streamed for those who wish to watch from home. The link can be found on Julie's obituary page under Tribute Wall at www.dulletrimble.com. Family and friends are welcome to attend the services while following the social distancing and other guidelines at the church. Memorials are suggested to Birthright of Jefferson City and for Masses. Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Those wishing to send condolences to the family may do so at the www.dulletrimble.com website.
