Danny Schaffer

Danny Schaffer, 54, of Jefferson City, passed away at his home on Sunday, July 25, 2021. He was born on August 3, 1966, in Jefferson City, a son of Harold and Betty (Helming) Schaffer. He was united in marriage on September 12, 1997, to Nancy Laux at St. Peter Catholic Church in Jefferson City. Danny was a 1984 graduate of Jefferson City High School. He served his country in the United States Navy. Danny worked for Capital Machine, Equipment Share and recently retired from Brockes Tire and Auto. He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. Danny enjoyed playing darts, bowling and working on the family farm. He treasured spending time with family and loved watching his daughters play softball and basketball. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Nancy; children: Paige, Olivia and Tyler (fiance Bri O'Bradegan); mother: Betty Schaffer; brothers: Richard Schaffer, Larry Schaffer, Harry Schaffer, Paul Schaffer and Harold Schaffer; grandchildren: Hailey, Ryan and Corbin. He was preceded in death by his son: Evan and father: Harold. Friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Monday, August 2, 2021, at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors with a prayer service at 6:00 p.m. A private inurnment will be held at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery at a later date.
