Ervin Vincent Hellmann

Ervin Vincent Hellmann, 94, Villa Ridge, Missouri, passed away peacefully at home, January 27, 2021. Ervin was a lifelong member of St. John the Baptist Church, helping out with many parish functions, including usher, ringing the church bells, and annual sausage suppers, chicken dinners and parish breakfasts for many years. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus and Western Catholic Union. He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Dorothy Hellmann, nee Kuenzel; two sons: Gary Hellmann and wife Charlotte, Gerald, and David Hellmann and wife Linda, Robertsville; two daughters, Denise Voss and husband Bill, Jefferson City, and Susie Boschert and husband Dale, Union; two sisters, Arlene (Hellmann) Holdmeyer, Washington, and Marilyn Hellmann, Villa Ridge; one brother, Kenneth Hellmann, Villa Ridge; eight grandchildren: Rebecca Hellmann, Union, Stephen Kreinkamp and wife Samantha, Robertsville, Dannielle Serrano and husband John John, Washington, Michael Voss, Jefferson City, Joshua Voss and wife Charis, Linn, and Robert Voss and wife Karla, Holts Summit; Zachary Boschert, State of Washington, and Paul Boschert, State of Colorado; 11 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Ervin was preceded in death by his parents, Albert M. and Pauline Hellmann; two grandsons, Patrick and Matthew Hellmann; three brothers, Victor and wife Lucille Hellmann, Lawrence and wife Clair Hellmann, and Maurice Hellmann. A funeral Mass was celebrated Friday, January 29, at 10 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Villa Ridge, with the Rev. Timothy Foy, officiating. Burial with military honors was in the church cemetery. The family was served by Oltmann Funeral Home, Washington, Mo.
