Denise Strope Sapp

Denise Strope Sapp, of Abingdon Maryland, formerly of Jefferson City, Mo., died of cancer April 5, 2020. She was born on November 30, 1963, to Ralph and Carolyn Scheppers Strope in Jefferson City. In January, 1970, she became the foster daughter of Frank and Clara Bolden. She attended St. Peter grade school, graduated high school from the School of the Osage in 1982, Lake Ozark. She attended Fairgrounds College in Sedalia. She was united in marriage to David Sapp in Blacksburg, Va. on June 17, 1989. Survivors include: her husband, Dave; a daughter, Bessie; a son, Sam; siblings, Debbie Hutinger, Doug, Dale, and Dennis Strope; foster family, Clara Bolden, Randy and Linda Bolden, Jenny and David Worley, Matthew Worley and Annie Eghbali. She was preceded in death by her parents and foster father. A memorial celebration will be celebrated Friday, February 5, 2021, at 10 a.m., at Resurrection Cemetery. Deacon John Schwartz of St. Joseph Cathedral will officiate. Masks and distances requested.
