William (Bill) Henry Hake, 82, of Taos, was granted his angel wings on August 15, 2021, surrounded by his family at his home. He was born on August 19, 1938, to Lawrence and Clementia Eiken Hake. Bill Hake retired from RR Donnelly after 30 years. On June 20 1959, he married the love of his life, Carol Ann Forck. They just celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary. They are survived by four children: Debby Jaegers (Bernie) of Loose Creek, Kathy Hake of Jefferson City, Troy Hake (Cyndi) of Mount Sterling, and Mike Hake (Amanda) of Jefferson City; eight grandchildren: Tabatha and Matt Oswald, Heather and Timmy Hamburg, Corey and Vicky Jaegers, Chelsi and Joe Price, Myranda and Kenney Schwartze, Jared, Dalton and Camden; and 16 great-grandchildren. Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to shooting matches, camping, hunting for arrowheads, going for scenic drives and daytrips with his family. He loved to sing karaoke, go to rummage sales and flea markets, and taking his grandkids hunting and fishing. In his earlier years, he enjoyed coon hunting, racing swim dogs, and car shows. Most of all, he loved spending time with family and all of his grandchildren. He was a devoted Catholic and would watch mass everyday on YouTube. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister: Ruby Sullens; brothers: Tommy and Earl Hake; and great-grandson: Lucas Oswald. Fly high my dear husband, dad and grandpa, until we meet again. Friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, August 20, 2021, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with a prayer service at 3:30 p.m. Additional visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 21, 2021, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Michael Penn officiating. Expressions of sympathy may be made to St. Francis Xavier or the National Rifle Association. Arrangements are under the direction of HOUSER-MILLARD Funeral Directors, 2613 West Main Street, Jefferson City, Missouri 65109 (573) 636-3838.
