Sarah Beth Platt, 52, of Holts Summit, went to be with her heavenly Father on Saturday, August 14, 2021, at St. Mary's Health Center in Jefferson City. She was born on May 21, 1969, in Nashville, Tennessee, a daughter of the late James and Emily "Carol" Harris Jr. Sarah was united in marriage to her soulmate, Raymon Platt on April 21, 1990, in Denton, Texas. Sarah was a graduate of Denton High School in Denton, Texas. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Columbia College. Sarah began her working career after graduation with St. Mary's Hospital and was currently employed there. She was an avid quilter and member of many quilting groups and associations in the central Missouri area. Sarah enjoyed gardening and being outdoors. She cooked for her family and loved to experiment with new recipes. Most of all, she cherished spending time with her family. Sarah is survived by her husband of 31 years, Ray; son: Chris Platt of Holts Summit; sister: Joy Souders (David) of West Melbourne, Florida; one brother in Hindsville, Arkansas; father-in-law: Raymon Platt Jr. of Jefferson City; brother-in-law: Brian Platt of Jefferson City; niece: Skye Harris of Rogers, Arkansas; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and family members who will deeply miss her. She was preceded in death by her parents; mother-in-law: Linda Platt; and grandparents: James "Wilbur" Harris Sr. and Mary Harris and John C. and Sarah "Berniece" Johnson. Friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Saturday, August 21, 2021, at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 p.m. with Rev. Michael Hearst officiating. Interment will be held at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America.
