Corporal Dalton Wayne Pierson, 21, of Jefferson City, died in the line of duty on July 28, 2021, while on duty with the United States Marine Corps at Camp Lejeune, Jacksonville, North Carolina. He was born on January 11, 2000, in Jefferson City, Missouri, the beloved son of Eileen Pierson and Jeremy Kean. Dalton was a 2018 graduate of Jefferson City High School. He enlisted with the USMC delayed entry program on August 31, 2017. Upon completion of boot camp at MCRD San Diego, he was stationed and ranked up as a Marine with the Pioneer Platoon, 8th Engineer Support Battalion, 2nd Marine Logistics Group MOS: 1371 Combat Engineer at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. Dalton enjoyed spending time with friends and family, line dancing at 54 Country, fishing, drawing, P.C. gaming (W.O.W), auto tech and so much more. He is survived by his mother: Eileen Pierson of Jefferson City; his father: Jeremy Kean and fiance Debra Aslanidis of Jefferson City; four siblings: Hailie, Kierra, Declan and Violet; his loving girlfriend: Maiya Woodward of North Carolina; paternal grandmother: Pamela Ames-Rolufs and husband Larry of Jefferson City; maternal grandfather: Harrison Pierson Jr. of Jefferson City; maternal grandmother: Nancy Sanders and husband Gerald of Clarksburg; one nephew, baby Smith-White; uncles, aunts, cousins and numerous friends. Dalton was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather: Teddy Kean; cousin: Olivia Westcott; and others. CPL Pierson will be escorted back to Jefferson City on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 around 7:00 p.m. The procession will exit Highway 54 South at Main Street, proceed east on Main Street around the south side of the Missouri State Capitol to Madison Street, south on Madison Street and finally west on High Street to West Main Street to Houser-Millard Funeral Directors. Friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, August 13, 2021, at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 14, 2021, at Solid Rock Church with Rev. Joe Skiles officiating. Interment with full military honors will be held at Riverview Cemetery.
