Terry Lee Smith

Terry Lee Smith, 65, of Jefferson City, passed away Sunday, April 4, 2021, at his residence. He was born on October 20, 1955, in Mineral Wells, Texas, to C.A. Smith and Nancy Eaton Smith. Terry was a high school graduate of Smith Cotton in 1973 and later worked for Staat Incorporated for 13 years as a Union Tuckpointer. Terry was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting fishing and looking for morel mushrooms. He was a loving family man who enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and cooking at family gatherings. Terry is survived by his wife, Debbie Smith of the home; his mother, Nancy Smith of Sedalia; three children, Denny Whittle, Dawn Amatey (Francis), and Tommy Lowe (Crystal), all of Jefferson City; two brothers, Scott and Randy Smith, both of Sedalia; nine grandchildren, Allyson Whittle (Steven), Audra Whittle, Erin Whittle, Xavier Vaughn, Jada Adadey, Jeffrey Amatey, Dominic Amatey, Aidan Lowe, and Taylor Lowe; one great-grandchild, Maveryk Forrest; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Terry's father preceded him in death. Family and friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 10, 2021, at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors. Celebration of Life will begin at 12:00 p.m. with Dr. Robert Loggins officiating. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Cancer Society.
