Bonnie W. Sheldon, age 86, of Jefferson City, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2020 at the University of Missouri Columbia Hospital. She was born on September 23, 1933 in Thayer, Missouri to Homer Hadley Fry and Annie Ethel Mansfield Fry. Bonnie was united in marriage in August 1950 to Samuel A. Sheldon I, who survives her. Bonnie dearly loved people. She spent the majority of her career in healthcare, serving others. She enjoyed gardening, antiquing, bible study, having picnics with her family, and was an amazing cook, especially southern food. As a lifelong Christian, Bonnie's favorite bible verse was 2 Timothy 4:7 "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." She finished her race and is now home with her heavenly father. Bonnie is survived by her three children: Rebecca Howard, Frank Sheldon, and Wyvonnia Neeley; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Bonnie also leaves behind her beloved cat, Dino. She was preceded in death by her parents, seven sisters, two brothers, an adopted brother, and her eldest son, Samuel A. Sheldon II (Sonny). Because Bonnie used to love visiting the Jefferson City Animal Shelter where her beloved Dino was adopted from, she would be honored to have donations made to the Jefferson City Animal Shelter. The family plans a private interment and memorial in Licking, Missouri in November.
