Betti Grete Johnson

Betti Grete Johnson, 90, New Bloomfield, Mo., passed away on Friday, September 18, 2020, at Jefferson City Manor in Jefferson City, Mo. Betti was born on October 17, 1929, in Jatznick, Germany the daughter of Hermann and Else (Radke) Hoppe. She was united in marriage on July 14, 1956, in Pecatonica, Ill. to Donald Johnson who preceded her in death on December 5, 2014. In 1997, she retired from New Bloomfield Public School district, where she had worked for several years as the school cook. Survivors include: one nephew, Munford of Germany and special friends, Ronald Smith of New Bloomfield, Mo., Mary Hudson of Jefferson City, Mo., Rhonda and Tony Stockdale and their daughters, Stacy, Stephanie, Sara and Shelly of Durand, Ill., and Elizabeth and Jerry Bittle and their daughters, Hattie and Natalie of New Bloomfield, Mo. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Ella, Elfreta and Elizabeth. Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 23, 2020, from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at Callaway Memorial Gardens Mausoleum chapel in Fulton, Mo. Graveside service and entombment will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the Mausoleum chapel with Pastor Bruce Williamson officiating.
