Gerold Sanning

Gerold Sanning, 78 of Eldon, Missouri, passed away Friday, September 11, 2020 at SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital in Jefferson City, Missouri. He was born November 19, 1941 in Mary's Home, Missouri, the son of the late John and Lucy (Roark) Sanning. Gerold was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and loved country music. Survivors include: His siblings, Elizabeth Evers (Bernard) of Eldon, Mo.; Ann Kirkweg of Eldon, Mo.; John Sanning of Jefferson City, Mo.; Sam Sanning (Crystal) of Eldon, Mo.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Two sisters, Wilma Evers and Ella Mae Sanning, and a brother-in-law, Norbert Kirkweg, preceded him in death. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 15, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. at Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, Mo., followed by Graveside Services at 11:00 a.m. at Greenmore Memorial Gardens in Barnett, Mo., with Rev. Callistus C. Okoroji officiating. Due to current health risks at this time, the family requests all that attend to please wear a face mask. Memorials for Gerold are requested for Masses at the church in his name. Arrangements are under the direction and care of Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, Mo.
