Berniece Ann Raithel Jungmeyer, 83, of Russellville, passed away on Thursday, November 26, 2020, at Jeff City Manor, Jefferson City, Missouri. She was born on May 12, 1937, to Adolph and Ella (Jungmeyer) Raithel at Russellville, Missouri. On July 12, 1958, she was united in marriage to Donald Jungmeyer at Trinity Lutheran Church in Russellville. Don preceded her in death on January 17, 2019. She was a life-long member of the Russellville Community, being born and raised in the Enon Community and moving to Russellville, upon her marriage. She graduated from Russellville High School in 1955, where she was a charter member of the National Honor Society. She was a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Russellville, were she was active in the Choirs, the Music and Worship Committee and was the church organist. In the past she had taught Sunday School and helped with various projects of the church, including lending her love for decorating the church at the various seasons of the year. She was an accountant, having worked for the Division of Employment Security, the Russellville Water Company and for David R. Goller, Attorney-at-Law in Jefferson City for 53 years. She was a member of the National Association of Tax Practitioners for over 25 years. She was a member of the Heisinger Auxiliary serving on the Cookie Sale Committee. Along with her full-time job, she and Don had owned DJ's Tavern for three years, and Jungmeyer's Grocery for 17 years, where she did all the bookwork for the businesses. Berniece enjoyed traveling with Don, attending Church events, shopping, collecting Precious Moments, decorating their home for Christmas and spending time with her family. She is survived by her children, Eve Campbell (Jim) and Dale Jungmeyer (friend Kim Belt), Russellville; three grandchildren, Brandy Klouzek (Nick), Joshua Campbell (Kaitlyn) and LeAnn Campbell (fiancé Chase Kleffner); two great-grandchildren; Duke and Presley Klouzek; and one great-granddaughter, Meradith Marie Kleffner, that is to be born in January. Other survivors include: two sister-in-laws, Jerene Enloe and Ann Toebben of Jefferson City; one brother-in-law, Marvin Jungmeyer of Russellville; several nieces, nephews, special friends Stephanie Dobbs and Kasen Nevels, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Diane Ruth Jungmeyer; one sister, Evelyn Carlos; one sister-in-law, Carol Jungmeyer; three brother-in-laws, Bill Enloe, Jerry Toebben, Bill Carlos; mother and father-in-law, Arthur and Ruth Jungmeyer. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Homes in Russellville. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Russellville with Pastor Ed Merckel officiating. Seating will be limited to family and close friends. Those attending the services are asked to follow social distancing guidelines. Masks are encouraged while in attendance. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Russellville. Memorials are suggested to the Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery Perpetual Fund. Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Homes in Russellville is in charge of the arrangements.
