Mary Ruth Russell

Mary Ruth Russell, 89, of Eldon, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 18, 2020, at her home. She was born on August 15, 1931, in Hartford, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Ambrose and Lillie Mae (Hatcher) Butner. Mary was united in marriage on October 1, 1955, to Clarence Russell in Arizona. Mary attended both Arkansas and California schools. She was employed with the State of Missouri, Department of Revenue and later with Alps Grocery Store. She enjoyed needlepoint, crocheting and crossword puzzles. Most of all, Mary cherished the times spent with family and loved playing with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Clarence; children: Charles Russell (Susan), Herb Russell (Jennifer) and Theresa Sapp (Rick); grandchildren: Shelly Long (Jason), Shawn Graham (Tracy), James Sapp (Erika), Lisa Conner (David), Jeannette Russell, Justin Russell (Tiffany), Jesse Russell (Samantha), Parker Russell and River Russell; great- grandchildren: Logan Long, Garrett Long, Kayla Graham, Zack Graham, Vincent Sapp, T.J. Sapp, Grayson Conner, Bentley Conner, Brooklyn Conner, Ace O'Neill, Charley O'Neill, Kylee Russell, Blaine Russell, Jace Russell, Ryan Russell and Noah Russell; and great-great-grandson: Jaxxon Kettle. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, brother: Leroy; sisters: Ina, Melba and Helen; daughter-in-law: Kelly Russell and grandson: Jason Russell. Friends will be received from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 21, 2020, at Millard-Rekus Family Funeral Chapel. Funeral Service will follow with Rev. Tim Drake officiating. Interment will be held in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy can be made to the Jason Russell Memorial Fund.
