Kenneth "Kenny" Roger Vaughan

Kenneth "Kenny" Roger Vaughan, 76, of Holts Summit, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, November 11, 2020, at his home. He was born on April 22, 1944 in Meta, a son of the late Ranie W. and Florence R. (Conner) Vaughan. Kenny was united in marriage on August 31, 1969 to Deborah Williams at Hopewell Baptist Church. He was a 1962 graduate of Maries County R-I High School. Kenny worked for McGraw-Edison from 1966 until 1969. He then joined the Jefferson City Police Department on April 1, 1969. Kenny served the city for almost 30 years before retiring in 1998. Following his retirement from the city, he was employed by the State of Missouri, Department of Revenue, Criminal Investigation Bureau. Kenny retired from the state in 2003. Kenny was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church, the Holts Summit Lions Club and the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 2693. He enjoyed fishing and camping in Branson. He was a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and Kansas City Chiefs but was an avid supporter of all the Jefferson City Jay athletic groups. Kenny enjoyed spending time with his family and his beloved dogs. He is survived by his wife, Deborah; and children: Angela Vaughan of Kansas City and Anthony Vaughan of Holts Summit. Kenny was preceded in death by his son: Mitch Vaughan; brothers: Walter Vaughan, Wilburn Vaughan and Arthur Vaughan; and sisters: Faye Branson, Imogene Vaughan and Margie Vaughan. Friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors with services following at 12:00 p.m. The funeral service will be broadcast on the Millard Family Chapels Facebook page. Interment will be held at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens at a later date. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the St. Louis University Transplant Department or Friends of Holts Summit.
