George H. Boehmer

George H. Boehmer, age 85, passed away Friday, November 13, 2020, in Frankfurt a/M, Germany. He was born October 21, 1935 in Rich Fountain, Missouri to Adolph and Cecilia Boehmer. He served in both the United States Air Force and the United States Army, and served his country in the Vietnam Conflict. He retired from the U.S. Army with the Rank of CWO3 while stationed in Frankfurt a/M, Germany. After his Military service, he worked for the Associated Press of Frankfurt Germany from which he retired after 20 years. Some of his AP news stories can still be found by doing a Google search for - George Boehmer AP. He is survived by his sisters: Katherine, Geraldine, Lillian and Bernadette. He leaves behind his wife: Ellen (Schlecht) Boehmer; daughter: Ellengard (Boehmer) Seitz; son: Christopher Boehmer; and granddaughter: Sophie Seitz in Frankfurt a/M Germany; as well as daughter: Audrey (Boehmer) Cundiff; son, Jeffrey Boehmer; and grandsons, Martin Boehmer and Brody Cundiff who reside in Missouri. He was preceded in death by generations of Boehmers, including his mother and father; his brothers, Wilfred, Frank, John and Alex; and his sister, Mary. Services will be held in Frankfurt a/M Germany.
