Hope Winifred Hobold, 89, of Jefferson City, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, November 11, 2020, at Villa Marie. She was born on October 8, 1931 in St. Louis, Missouri, a daughter of the late Howard and Winifred (Kunz) Chandler. She was united in marriage to Richard Hobold on April 19, 1952, in St. Louis, Missouri. Hope attended Cleveland High School in St. Louis. After graduating high school, she attended William Woods College where she received her degree in the Liberal Arts. Hope was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church for more than 45 years. She volunteered at Memorial Hospital and ran the gift shop for many years. Hope enjoyed collecting things, doing cross stitch and making floral arrangements. She was a devoted homemaker who loved taking care of her family. She is survived by her son: Richard Hobold (Nancy) of Jefferson City; daughters: Faith Renner of St. Louis and Charity Hobold of Goodyear, Arizona; sisters: Carolyn Lenz (Charles "Chuck") and Gail Chandler; grandchildren: Nicole Renner, Rachel Markwardt (Matt), Jonathan Hobold, and Samuel Hobold; and great-granddaughter: Morgan Markwardt. Hope was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother: Howard Chandler. Private family services will be held with interment at Riverview Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the First Presbyterian Church of Jefferson City.
