Cleo Etta Chambers, 75, of Holts Summit, Missouri, passed away Thursday, June 18, 2020, at her residence in Holts Summit. She was born on January 9, 1945, in California, Missouri, the daughter of the late George Hicks and Lucille (Galliher) Hicks Ryan. Cleo attended school in Blackwater, Missouri, before her family moved to Jefferson City in 1956. She went on to obtain her CNA certification. She also attended and finished courses for her LPN license but was unable to receive it due to health reasons. She was united in marriage on May 8, 1987, to Oliver Joseph "Ollie" Chambers, who preceded her in death on November 5, 1996. She previously had been married to Elvis Albert in 1960, and to Roy Wayne Sinden Sr. in 1966, both of whom preceded her in death. Cleo worked mostly in nursing homes and home health services, treating each resident and client with love and compassion. Cleo also previously owned and operated a lawn care service and managed the AmVet Club with her late husband, Ollie. She was of the Baptist faith, being led to the Lord by her beloved grandma, Etta Geneva Hicks. She was a homebound member of Union Hill Baptist Church in Holts Summit and a member of Disabled American Veterans. Cleo enjoyed reading, fishing, and going to auctions with Ollie. But mostly, she enjoyed spending time with her family including her fur babies, Shadow and Benji. Survivors include four daughters, Donna Albert, Holts Summit; Darla (Ricky Lee) Snook, Holts Summit; Lennie (Gary) Weise, Lawton, Okla.; and Sherry (Jon) Jaggie, Eugene, Mo.; three sons, Roy Wayne Sinden Jr., Moberly, Mo.; Darryl Sinden, Holts Summit; and Rocky Sinden, Jefferson City; two step-daughters, Robin Yates, Ariz. and Cindy Alvis, Russellville; one step-son, Jeff Chambers, Ariz.; four grandchildren, Sherri Cook, Justin Albert, Amanda (Kristian) Burns, and Eric Lee Snook; seven great-grandchildren, Nathaniel Cook, Natalie Cook, Olivia Robinett, Tyler Pherigo, Mayson Snook, Sophia Snook, and Zane Snook; one brother, Ray Hicks, Ava, Mo.; and one sister, Velma (Leonard) Steinman, Jefferson City. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sons, James and Richard Albert; one brother, Jimmie Hicks; one sister, Loretta Hicks; one grandson, Morgun Varner; and one great-granddaughter, Isabella Snook. Visitation will be 10-11 a.m., Tuesday, June 23, 2020, at Union Hill Baptist Church in Holts Summit with services to follow at 11 a.m. officiated by Brother Frank Whitney. Burial will be in Hart Hill Cemetery. The general public is welcome to attend the services while following social distancing guidelines. Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
