Elizabeth Pauline Strutton, 49, of Jefferson City, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital in Jefferson City, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 22, 1971 in Tuscumbia, a daughter of Jerry and Patricia (Humbard) Saling. Elizabeth was united in marriage to the love of her life, Don Strutton, on August 11, 1990 in Eugene, Missouri. Elizabeth was a 1990 graduate of Eugene High School and even though it took her awhile, she obtained her master's degree in guidance and counseling from Stephens College while working full time for Compass Health Network. For the past four years, she worked on a grant focused program on early signs and symptoms of psychosis. Elizabeth provided direct care to youth and family and also provided training and education to agencies in the Jefferson City area. She loved children and dedicated her entire life to them. Elizabeth was employed for over 10 years as a cook at Russellville High School and helped children daily thru her work at Pathways Community Behavioral Health Care. She was a member of Spring Garden Baptist Church and was a dedicated Sunday School Teacher. Most of all, she cherished her own children and grandchildren and loved spending time with them. She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Don; children: Nicole Delaney (Christopher) of Russellville, Shelby Luebbering (Caleb) of Russellville, Ashley Strutton, Faith Strutton and Quintin Strutton, all of the home; her mother: Patricia Saling; grandchildren: Jayden Delaney, Zoie Delaney, Kamrin Delaney, Leila Delaney, Hailey Luebbering and Harper Luebbering; siblings: Jerry Saling Jr., Lola Farmer (Mark Mitchell), John Saling, Patty Farrier (Chris) and Jordan Saling (Tracy); and many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her father: Jerry Saling. Friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Saturday, August 1, 2020 at Spring Garden Baptist Church, 128 Opie Road, Olean, MO 65064. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at Spring Garden Baptist Church with Brother Ken Martin officiating. Interment will follow at Spring Garden Baptist Church Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy can be made to Spring Garden Baptist Church.
