Claire Alma (Strang) Hughes

Claire Alma (Strang) Hughes, age 93, died on December 26, 2019, in Lawrence, Kan. Claire is survived by two sons, Charles of Thousand Oaks, Calif. and Paul of Shell Knob; four daughters, Alma Heckler of Lecompton, Kan., Emelia Kelley of Lee's Summit, Cynthia Hughes-Coons of Camdenton, and Valerie Lawless of Raytown; 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m., Saturday, January 11, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 176 Marian Drive, Laurie. Burial will follow at the historic St. Patrick's Cemetery.
