Erma Lucille (Hogue) Denton, age 87, of Iberia, passed away on Friday, February 7, 2020, at Miller County Care and Rehabilitation Center in Tuscumbia. She was born in Miller County on December 11, 1932, daughter of the late Fred and Jenny (Irwin) Hogue. Erma had a kind heart and donated her time helping those in need and volunteering at the free store. She loved flowers and spending time outdoors tending to the upkeep of the church yard. Erma was a member of the Congregational Christian Church of Iberia where she served as the Sunday School Supervisor. She is survived by one son, Steve Denton of Iberia; two granddaughters, Amelia Marks (Justin) of Kaiser and Jessica Atkisson (Christopher) of Lake Ozark; five great-grandchildren, Dylan Atkisson, Devin Atkisson, Ariel Atkisson, Payton Beaston and Damian Marks; one brother, Doyle Hogue; and several nieces, nephews, family and friends. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Vicky Sue Denton, and one brother, Wayne Hogue. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m., with Memorial Service immediately following at 2 p.m., on Tuesday, February 11, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia.
