Thelma L. Mahlan, 82, of Lohman, Missouri, passed away on Friday, December 11, 2020 at SSM Hospital. She was born on October 10, 1938 in Steedman, Missouri, a daughter of the late Dewey and Josie (Pickering) Vandelicht. She worked in the housekeeping department at St. Mary's Hospital for over 38 years before retiring. Thelma enjoyed reading the newspaper, watching QVC, going to garage sales, growing flowers, and watching NASCAR. Most of all she cherished times spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She lovingly helped raise her granddaughter, Heather. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by her sons: Steve Havrum (Julie), Michael Havrum, and Robert Mahlan Jr.; brother, John "Jay" Vandelicht; son-in-law, Robbie Hammann; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and nine nieces and nephews. Thelma was preceded in death by her son, Mark Mahlan; daughter, Theresa Hammann; brother, Charles Vandelicht; grandchildren, Hollie Hammann and Craig Hammann; and sister-in-law, Judy Vandelicht. Services are private for the family. In lieu of flowers, it is requested that expressions of sympathy be made to the Jefferson City Animal Shelter.
